Japanese fiber-reinforced cement boards
Among Japanese brands, such manufacturers can be mentioned as Kmew, Konoshima and Nichita. A panel and carcass house finished with panels by leading Japanese manufacturers will serve many generations.
Today, fiber-reinforced cement panels in Japan are manufactured with use of concrete of grade M700 and higher. Besides, manufacturing process utilizes the state-of- the-art technology of extrusion, which permits to obtain products with the best physical and chemical parameters. Since fiber-reinforced cement boards of Japanese manufacture contain special components of non-organic origin, frost resistance of the material increases up to 300 cycles.
ADDITIONAL ADVANTAGES OF JAPANESE BOARDS:
However, the most important feature of Japanese fiber-reinforced cement boards is their self-cleaning capacity. Molecules of water gather on surfaces of boards from the air, and form very thin film. Dirt accumulates on top of the molecules and is easily washed away when it rains.

Concrete tiles
Concrete façade tiles represent a good alternative to other outer finishing materials. It gets selected more and more often as a finish for both residential houses and public, commercial and office buildings. The reason for that is durability and strength of the material.
Façade concrete tiles are lighter than natural stones, however it resembles the stones and even has similar pattern of aging. The material is rigid and strong, that is why it is optimal for façade finishing. If tiles are installed properly and are reasonably handled in time, such lining will last many years. The material is perfect for reconstruction of old houses and public building, etc. Application of concrete tiles is especially effective w hen combined with the energy-saving heating system. The lining protects a house against weather exposure, fungi, fire, and maintains its performance and colour during many years.
THE FOLLOWING CAN BE NAMED A DISADVANTAGE OF CONCRETE TILES:
complexity of installation using wet method, especially if the tiles have large dimensions.

HPL panels
HPL (High Pressure Laminate) panels represent man-made finishing material, which is manufactured by pressing in a hydraulic press and consists of sheets of cellulose impregnated with thermosetting resins. In process of pressing, at temperature of 150 С and pressure of 9 MPa, resin polymerization occurs with formation of irreversible connections, which ensures homogeneity and high density of material. Layer of texture and colour is applied to a front surface.
For the Russian façade market, the material is niche, volumes of installation are rather low as compared to other façade materials. It is mainly used for finishing of facades of trading centers, food service companies and low-rise construction.
Material is manufactured in a form of fat boards with dimensions of 4200 x 2000 mm and thickness of 2 to 30 mm.
Innovative production processes allow that any type of surface finishing is made, from matte to enamel and to structured surfaces. Material features a wide range of textures and colours, and permits to mimic virtually all types of materials. Both open and closed methods of installation of boards on a façade system are used.

Natural and man-made stones
Natural stone is very beautiful material, which will serve you for long time, but it is sophisticated. Selecting liner for a façade made of natural stones, one should take into account climatic peculiarities of the locale, and capacity of the foundation to carry their load.
For instance, cold temperature is dangerous for limes, and it is not advisable to use them in cold climate, while marble does not stand moisture which must be taken in consideration when using it. Shell gravel and travertine are sensitive to exposure to gases. As a rule, natural stones are light, get dirty quickly, and they are used for lining of facades of buildings located far enough from industrial facilities and highways with heavy traffic.
Man-made stones were designed as an analog to natural materials, and today every manufacturer attempts to get their characteristics as close as possible to those of natural stones. Correspondingly, composition of man-made stones is made so that they obtain advantages such as durability, reliability, resistance to exposures to wind, moisture etc. As a result, using man-made stone in lining of a facade, one can get quality and reliable walls, and their finishing will last many years.
Man-made stone is perfect solution to finish various facades (including facades of common-use buildings, such as cafés, restaurants, banks etc.) and also a good decoration for many residential interiors.
Applications of man-made stones are very broad: from lining walls and foundations to small decorative inserts.

Bulk ceramics
Terra-cotta ceramic façade boards (bulk ceramics) are produced using special grades of clay, which gets, after baking, distinctive texture (from coarse to fine grains, with solid or partial polish) and colour (from black and brown red to light cream). Boards are produced using the method of extrusion with subsequent baking. To decrease specific gravity, there are cavities in the body of board.
Surface of boards can be of three principle types: smooth, rough or texture, with or without coating of glaze. For Russia, the material is relatively new, while many designs in Europe provide for using ceramic boards when building a façade.
Bulk ceramics compares favourably with conventional ceramic constructing materials. Broad selection of formats of such boards (from 150*600 to 500*1500), various textures of surfaces and broad colour range gives to the designs innovative and up-to- date appearance.
Hidden fastening method is used, where fasteners are installed on inside of a board using special fastening elements.
Facades look very beautifully when their finishing utilizes bulk ceramics of different colours or ceramics in combination with other materials. High frost resistance of the material permits its operation under severe climatic conditions.
Normally, ceramic boards are used for facades of administrative buildings, educational and medical facilities, business centers and elite residential buildings.
Advantages of ceramic finishing include: durability (over 50 years), frost resistance, fire and environmental safety, low thermal conductivity, absence of visible fasteners, natural colour range, low costs of operation, possibility to replace a damaged element.

Fiber-reinforced cement boards
Fiber reinforced cement is a constructing material that consists of cement, reinforcing fibers and mineral fillers. It features strength and flexibility.
In order to give fiber-reinforced cement boards high strength, autoclave treatment and pressing are used in production. Thanks to the technology, boards have homogeneous structure, ensuring high resistance to mechanical loads. It is among the most commonly used lining materials for suspended vented facades.
Its advantage is that fiber-reinforced cement materials are resistant to corrosion, rotting and fungi. It is a good thermal insulation. The boards have sound-insulating properties. Fire Safety class – NG. You can order products with dimensions that are required during installation, which minimizes waste from cutting.

Metallic panels
Metallic panels have been long and broadly used as finishing material for suspended vented facades, mainly for buildings of low height. However, recently, with occurrence of lightweight and thin 3D panels, they are used for multistoreyed buildings in mass development.
FACADE METALLIC PANELS CAN BE OF TWO TYPES DEPENDING ON A TYPE OF FASTENING:
In case of open-type fastening, every facade panel can be installed individually on a common frame of vented facade. They are fastened with rivets to profiles of a facade system. Metallic panels of open-type fastening ensure convenience of repairs or replacement of facade elements, when necessary.
Another type of products is facade panels with closed-type fastening. The panels have a bent-up surface in the top, which is provided with a special edge for fixing with the following top element of the vented facade. The panels are installed from the bottom up, by a stairway principle: a top border is fixed to a subsystem and it is covered with the bottom edge of the next panel. This type of metallic panels is featured by its aesthetic qualities as its joints and points of fastening of the products are completely hidden, which ensures attractive appearance of a building’s facade.

Ceramic Granite
Ceramic granite is an artificial finishing material that is manufactured using the method of semidry pressing at pressure of 400-500 kg/cm2 with subsequent baking at temperature of 1200-1300 oС. The feedstock is a mixture of components that includes: white-burning clay and kaolins, quartz sand, feldspars and pegmatites. As a result, material is produced with unique operating properties, which permit its using for facade lining and interior finishing.
In Russia, it is the most common finishing material for suspended vented facades. It is used for buildings with any number of storeys and in all climatic zones.
In terms of strength, hardness and uniformity of material, and water absorption, ceramic granite is superior to most types of finishing natural stones.
